A local island in one of the Maldives’ great diving regions

Omadhoo combines two different sides of the Maldives: the reefs and marine life of South Ari Atoll, and the everyday atmosphere of a small inhabited island.

From here, we select diving and snorkeling areas according to sea conditions, currents, experience and recent wildlife activity.

South Ari Atoll is known for coral reefs, turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, manta rays and its year-round population of whale sharks. These are wild animals, so sightings can never be guaranteed.

What we can guarantee is a carefully planned activity, a clear briefing and a respectful approach to every encounter.

Small groups. Clear briefings. No pressure.

We work with a maximum of four divers per guide and organise groups according to experience.

Beginners receive the time and attention they need. Certified divers join activities suited to their level. Snorkelers are shown how to enjoy the water safely without disturbing the reef.

Conservation is part of the experience, not a separate speech. We explain what you are seeing, how the ecosystem works and how to approach marine life responsibly.

Yes. Tell us when you last dived and how many dives you have logged. We may recommend an adaptation or refresher dive before visiting deeper sites or areas with stronger current.

Yes. Full equipment is available. The exact equipment included or available as an option will appear on each activity page.

Can you guarantee whale sharks or manta rays?

No. They are wild animals and encounters depend on natural conditions. South Ari Atoll offers excellent opportunities, but responsible wildlife tourism never guarantees a sighting.
